Answer the following questions in full sentences. Then check back to the grading criteria to see if you have met your target grade
1. My statement of personal aims:
Think about your contribution to the event and answer the following questions.
a) What do you want to achieve through your contribution (compositions)? E.g. improve my confidence with composition skills by….. develop my skills with…… (You can write as many realistic and achievable goals as you like here. I have started the sentence for you below but feel free to change it if you wish).
Through my contribution to the event I would like to achieve the following goals:
I really want to get used to letting ideas flow. I have slowly got better at this using the ABABACAA technique. This helps me for shape to the composition making everything fit. Also it help with masking my compositions longer.
A- Chorus
B- Verse
C- Bridge
Also I want to be able to learn how to make music with different genres. This will just expand my knowledge of music and if I can do that it will just make it easier to make music as a whole because If i'm asked to make music for a certain style in the future. Doing this now can make that so much easier for me in the future.

b) What skills do you have that you can use?
I can edit music pretty well after having a few years to focus on improving my editing skills.
In these years Iv'e learnt the basics of GarageBand and I have improved to become pretty knowledgeable on how it all works letting me come up with more intermediate ideas allowing it to be easier for ideas to flow.

I think that I have the following skills which I will use to help me achieve these goals……
c) How will you know if you have achieved it?
I will know if I’ve achieved it because ...
I would have completed 15 minutes worth of my own music of complex, intermediate ideas that engage the audience I am playing my music for. They will all be in the same style of music. They will all be my own ideas.

d) How will you meet the expectations of the audience? E.g. will you find out what the audience would like to hear? If so how? Consider repertoire, quality, length, presentation of compositions, audio quality etc.
The age group of the audience is going to be young adults. around 19-30 years old. Meaning they will like almost every style of music. I've gone for an electric rock because it's more like today's music which the audience will enjoy.
2. Plan of my contribution to the performance (make sure it is related to your personal statement of aims from above)
a) What are the requirements of the brief and how will you meet them? Put the brief into your own words and explain how you will meet what it is asking for.
I have GOT TO make 15 minutes of music and the easiest way to do this is to make 5 compositions at the very least of 3 MINUTES EACH. All of the songs have to be in the same style of music and cannot change. These compositions must be my own ideas and not stolen. They must be creative and at least 3 minutes long. If they are not 3 minutes long you'll have to make another composition or two to get the 15 minutes you need.

b) What do you intend to do? E.g. I intend to perform on……… I will play the following songs………… First I will play………. It will be a good opening song because…….. This will be a solo/ ensemble?
I intend to show my full and completed 5 compositions off of Garage Band. I will play all 5 songs. And I will start off with Composition 1 considering it shows the least of my skills. I will show them in a skill order to finish off confidently leaving the audience impressed. I will leave my computerised composition (The Software on the computer is called "Logic") till the very last as it shows all of my skills and thoughts into the "Grand Finale."

c) How will you do it? E.g. composition working sessions – what will you do in these, work with tutor, dress rehearsal (week before) etc.
In these working sessions I will come up with some sketches of ideas. I will think of the ABC order and what order they will go in to show different patterns in each composition.
With my out of lesson music teacher I will begin to use the time to come up with ideas and progressions.

d) Who will you need to involve?
My Music teacher Mr Flowers is always giving notices to us as a class and giving advice to help with compositions and blog work. My Out of class Piano teacher helps with making songs for performance.

e) What resources will you need? (software, equipment, space, time etc.)
I will need Garage Band on the IMac and on the Ipad. I have four of my compositions on the IPad GarageBand and one in progress on the IMac GarageBand. I will need speakers however they will needed to be sorted out. What I mean by that is that the volume will have to be played around with till it is perfect and all of the different instruments volume levels are balanced out.

f) What time is needed for each song/ activity (e.g. dress rehearsal/ recording)?
I will need at least 3 minutes per song meaning I will need at least five compositions. I have one or two compositions that are below 3 minutes. Meaning I will probably have to make 6 compositions as a whole.

g) What are the health and safety issues for composition writing sessions and the performance of them (think of noise levels, cables, audience, working with others)
I will need to make sure the audio isn't too high in volume or too low. I need to make sure the mix of all the different audios fit well together and nothing over powers other sounds.
